The leading corporations have created pools of high potential managers.

Between 1 and 3% of the managing executives of a given corporation are accepted into these pools which number only very few persons (from 50 to 250 depending on the corporations). These executives are between 30 and 40 years of age. It is accepted that the majority of CDI graduates have joined such pools.
The network of CDI partner firms consist of corporations who recognise the CDI as one of the main sources for recruiting high potential managers.
This is the reason why the CDI can offer such a wide panel of career opportunities. Furthermore, the alumni network provides multiple access points among industries and services corporations. Some management programmes in corporations such as EADS, Siemens, Lufthansa or DaimlerChrysler equally provide direct access to high level manager positions.
The annual survey of the CDI graduate fellow starting salaries shows that the median salary offered to them is 30% to 50% higher than that of starting first category engineers.
